| Well Al's test results are back. He has come back with the cream gene POSITIVE...So he is a BUCKSKIN DUN...WOOHOOO   And we also tested our perlino colt, as both parents had been reg as cremello and we suspected they are reg as the wrong colour.....and his is definately a PERLINO.......yay... | |

A friend recons one of my mares is a black bucky so when i have some spare cash i will get her tested. | |

| It's only $25US to get the cream test (plus postage) ... and to do Black/red Plus Agouti is $40us ( +postage) i can PM you where we get ours done if you like ... ...  | |

| I'm waiting on test results for my 2 new shettys.
One is black bucky (we'll is supposed to be)
The other is bucky, but they are testing him for homozygous as well.

if he was homozygous for the cream (bucky) he would be a perlino or cremello or smokey cream.as they are the only double cream carriers... | |

| Yep I know that... I meant they were testing for homogyzous tobiano, cos he's pinto (damn laptop left that bit off) | |

| It's official.....
My bucky filly is in fact bucky... (her results were: N/Cr) YAY...
My bucky pinto colt is definately Bucky & homozygous at that (Yay for lots of baby pintos)... He also carries Red And Black. His results were: (E/e, A/a, N/Cr, TO/TO)
Lots of pinto babies to come from here in the future & hopefully lots of dilutes too... YIPEEEEEEEEEEE
Oh, & my little colt, is an orphan too. Lost his mum the day before he was 2 months old & is going great guns... | |

Thanks, but it wasn't our mare. We've just bought the babies.
Mare died the day before the colt was 2 months old, but you'd never know it. He's going absolutely great guns. & is sooooo gorgeous.
Both babies are now on our website.
our black filly is now for sale, if anyone is looking for a supre bred mini horse filly at a bargain price. | |
