Hey all, I've emailed IMHR but in the mean time was just curious if anyone on here knows... if I send in an application to rego a horse that turns 5yrs later this year, will his papers still come back as temp papers due to be upgraded later this year?? Should I just wait so I don't have to pay twice!??

Just got the answer from IMHR, and as I suspected: Temporary until 5 years actual.

PK, Did the IMHR re-open their books so that you can register a horse with parentage known without service certificates or another breed societies rego??

They re-opened it, but from what others have told me, you still need to have reasonable evidence to support the animal's pedigree if you want it on their papers.
